The Cookie Everyone Fought Over
What began in our mom’s kitchen became a family tradition we’re proud to share, one batch at a time.
Our mom has been baking for as long as we can remember, churning out meal after meal and treat after treat of the most fabulous things you can think of. We were a family who ate home not out, and Mama Shelley was doing to trad-wife influencer thing well before social media existed.
Being children we didn’t fully appreciate that our family cookies were not your average chocolate chip cookies of every household, something we started to realize when teachers began literally fighting over them at school bake sales. Between the bake sale fist fights and our family home filled with friends casually skulking around our kitchen, we knew we had something special. That knowledge was put to the test when we opened our first location in 2015 in our family’s 100 year old marina in Hessel. Surrounded by the wooden boat heritage of our area in the Les Cheneaux Islands, we served our mom’s cookies and other sweet treats to longtime marina customer and visitors alike who all fell head over heels. A decade later, we opened our second location on Mackinac Island at the Arnold Transit Dock.
Our mom still makes the dough, only now it’s in a commercial kitchen instead of her home kitchen. Commercial kitchen or not, each batch is made with the same love as the ones she made for us growing up. We’re excited to share our family’s traditions with you and know that you will love them as much as we do!
